FAQs
What is the difference between DuloLax and DulcoSoft?
DulcoLax® stimulates the bowel muscles to give the body a gentle push. DulcoLax® works predictably overnight to provide relief the next morning (after approx. 6–12 hours). Suppositories act quickly, after about 15–30 minutes. A single use is usually sufficient to relieve constipation.
DulcoSoft®, on the other hand, binds water in the intestine, almost like a sponge. This increases the water content in the stool and softens its consistency. It also increases stool volume, stretches the intestinal wall, and stimulates the natural motility of the bowel. In this way, DulcoSoft® gently contributes to more regular relief.
What are DulcoLax® Pico drops used for?
DulcoLax® Pico drops are a well-tolerated laxative with a predictable onset of action.
When taken in the evening, the drops work overnight to provide relief the next morning (after approx. 10–12 hours). Thanks to the practical format, the drops are easy to dose and can be adjusted to the individual severity of symptoms*.
In cases of constipation, DulcoLax® Pico drops can be used by adults, children from 4 years of age, and breastfeeding women.
* within the recommended dosage (10–18 drops/day for adults)
Can DulcoLax® Pico drops also be used long-term?
DulcoLax® Pico drops can also be used long-term after consulting a doctor.
Even with prolonged use as directed, no loss of effectiveness, habituation effects, or disturbances in electrolyte balance are to be expected¹.
The goal of use should always be a soft, well-formed stool.
