FAQs
What is the difference between DuloLax and DulcoSoft?
DulcoLax® stimulates the bowel muscles to give the body a gentle push. DulcoLax® works predictably overnight to provide relief the next morning (after approx. 6–12 hours). Suppositories act quickly, after about 15–30 minutes. A single use is usually sufficient to relieve constipation.
DulcoSoft®, on the other hand, binds water in the intestine, almost like a sponge. This increases the water content in the stool and softens its consistency. It also increases stool volume, stretches the intestinal wall, and stimulates the natural motility of the bowel. In this way, DulcoSoft® gently contributes to more regular relief.
What are Dulcolax® Suppositories for?
The laxative provides a effective, efficient and quick local action for adults and children over 12 years of age who are experiencing occasional constipation.
Is it safe to take DulcoLax® Suppositories if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
Long-term observations have not provided any indications of undesirable or harmful effects during pregnancy. However, data from adequate clinical studies in pregnant women are not available. Therefore, the product should only be taken during pregnancy after consulting a doctor. It has been shown that neither the active ingredient nor its metabolites pass into breast milk when used. Therefore, DulcoLax® suppositories are also suitable for breastfeeding women².
